Welcome to Norway’s most beautiful climbing park!
Just two hours from Oslo, and one hour from Lillehammer, lies Helgøya Climbing Park. Right in the heart of beautiful Helgøya, in the Ringsaker community, we can offer thrill and excitement for all ages and all levels of achievement. Everybody can feel like a champion, experience team building, and challenge yourself on all different climbing trails within the trees. We have 20 ziplines, including one of Norway’s longest zipline, in a climbing park at 430 meters. We have a total of 160 climbing elements. We even have a black Extreme Trail for those who want to push themselves to the limit! The big news last year was a new blue course and «Helgøyastupet» a jump from 14 meters.
You can bring your own food if you like and we have barbecues you can use for free. The food can be enjoyed outdoors with a fantastic view of Lake Mjøsa, or inside a large and cozy lavvo. If you like, we can prepare meals for you at the campfire. We also have a small kiosk where you can buy ice cream, soda, chocolate, coffee, tea and hot cocoa.
The climbing park has now open every day – 1000-1700. It is advisable to book your harnesses, in advance, on our website post@helgoyaklatrepark.no (we start to close the high courses around 1615 every day). You can book the climbing park for groups for more than 12 persons, send us an email; post@helgoyaklatrepark.no.
If you like to spend a night on Helgøya, we have 5 floating tents and a very cosy «Henhouse» with 10-12 beds, a kitchen and a living-room.
In addition, we have a tree-top cabin, Klatrehytta, located on the outskirts of Helgøya Climbing Park. This cabin was built in collaboration with Treetophyttene AS and Treehouse Masters (Pete Nelson) with Animal Planet. A special tv program aired, in the fall of 2017, on Animal Planet, showing the building of this amazing tree-top cabin. The cabin can be booked at tretopphytter.no. Safety is our highest priority and the entire park is approved by the Norwegian Railway Inspectorate.
